Incorporated in 1984, Sound Transportation, Inc. began operations with one leased truck, an odd assortment of used office furniture, and two employees. From these humble beginnings, the corporation has slowly grown on a solid foundation of fiscal responsibility and an ever-expanding list of satisfied customers.

In 1989, the company purchased land and constructed the corporate headquarters at the present location in Tacoma, Washington. Presently, Sound Transportation employs seven brokers and corporate support staff, and a fleet of 35 owner/operator leased tractors and flatbed trailers.

In 1991, Sound Transportation trucks traveled over 1,800,000 miles. The company reported sales in excess of $3 million. In 1999, Sound Transportation trucks traveled over 5,200,000 miles and sales were $6.2 million.
